Easy Chocolate Fondue

Love is in the air this Valentine’s Day, but this easy recipe will have your whole house smelling like warm chocolatey fondue goodness. Paired with Cheryl’s Cookies and an array of colorful fruit to dip, your family is guaranteed to love this Valentine’s recipe berry much.

For the fondue:

•             6 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped

•             4 oz. milk chocolate, chopped

•             ½ cup whole milk or cream

•             1 and ½ tablespoons butter

•             ½  teaspoon vanilla extract

•             ⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt

For dipping:

•             1 dozen Cheryl’s Cookies of your choice

•             Fresh fruit like strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, bananas, etc.

•             Skewers

•             Plates

•             Napkins

Directions: Start by preparing the dipping ingredients. Rinse the fruit and slice as needed, then arrange next to the Cheryl’s Cookies on a tray along with the skewers.

Next, combine the chocolate, milk (or cream) and butter in a small bowl and melt in a gently simmering water bath. You can also microwave these ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl on 50% power for 2 minutes.

Stir the fondue mixture until completely smooth. Add more milk as needed until you get the desired consistency. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and salt. Serve next to the tray with dipping ingredients. Then grab some plates, skewers and Cheryl’s Cookies and start dipping!

Note: If the fondue gets too thick or starts to harden, you can reheat in the microwave in bursts of 15 seconds, stirring between each burst until the fondue is melted again.
